Holidays...

So, after our safe arrival in England this year all is well. we are having the greatest time ever and have been kept busy listening to dad giving his orders and arranging our lives! After the surprise of winning tickets to Hard Rock calling in Hyde Park, where I went with my sister Dawn. We saw many groups and singers. The Lighthouse Family, Mike and the Mechanics, Stevie Nicks being among them but the main act of the evening was the brilliant Rod Stewart. Well worth seeing I can tell you.
Tuesday was a great day out to The Tower of London with Charlie. It was nice to have him actually take an interest in the exhibits and not just use the spiral staircases as running practise. Although after seeing a million and one scatched signatures or reliefs on the old walls he was losing interest. I then took him to have a look at The Monument, which was built to commemorate the Great Fire of London, where we had a nice lager in the pub. I did encounter a problem with the language barrier, as the barman was Polish and couldn't understand my London accent! I have obviously lived abroad too long...
On Thursday evening I met up with and old school friend Jean Farenden, and we spent a very talkative evening in the Three Colts pub in Buckhurst Hill. It was lovely to see her again after all these years and I hope we don't wait another 25 years to do it again!
The week to come will be just as busy as I am off to Wembley on Wednesday night to see Take That in concert, with an early start on Thursday for a visit to the Hampton Court Flower Show. I can't wait to go in the famous maze either.
So far the weather has been lovely, infact I have burnt my shoulders after a trot around the boot sale this morning. Note to self; remember the sun tan cream next time!
I shall update you all later in the week. Take care...Lea xx
